Minor resonance melts to major joy.
The crowd overwhelms piercing concert noise
with screams of adoration
and worship for the gods on stage,
as they indulge in worldly bliss.
Theres Jack over there,
so drunk he thinks hes in heavy metal heaven,
and the poor girl who pays for it with a black eye.
Goliaths up front blocking the view,
and the crowd sways to the folk country jam.
Blinding lights shine from nowhere and everywhere
as the accordion begins to belt.
Everyones alive at last.
Ripples become waves, waves foreshadow thunder
and thunder reigns from our holy guests
Bass beats out notes that shake the soul.
Then the music slows a little
as they preach to our emotions.
And you come into focus my dear.
Our eyes meet and Im tranquilized
you smile paralyzed back into me.
What was the song again?
Cant quite recall much but the stars in your stare,
and oh how fair you look
as the passing spotlights illuminate we two.
Guitar chords and catchy words fade
into background drone
as you take center stage.
You bring my arms around your waist
I bet those gods envy our embrace.
Swaying to a rhythm only we can hear,
another song emerges.
You know the one,
shes the sweetest of all sounds.
I lean over you shoulder,
brush past your flowing hair,
and find your lips waiting there for mine.
We kiss
